All three below realize who this is, and Eda makes a comment to King that he really does have tall genes (another call-back). King’s dad flies away into the distance, and Luz falls to the ground, being caught by King and Eda. The pacing of the fight picks up again when they arrive, Luz using her new magic to get right up to Belos and start tearing him from the heart. Meanwhile, the other three use their various magical abilities to stop the fungus from reaching them, as well as Luz. Other than these issues, though, I really enjoyed this first section of the episode.
Animation
At first, she thinks everything will be okay, that she wasn’t hit at all, but when the fungus starts crawling up her fingers towards the face and consuming her, she knows she was very wrong. Luz tries to comfort everyone but can’t make The Collector understand what’s happening, and can’t find the words to say to Eda and King, who stands behind her in utter shock. Slowly, she is consumed by the flesh fungus, transformed into small balls of light that float away into the distance. They pass various places in The Isles until they reach The Archives, where, even in her puppet state, Camila cries, knowing something has gone terribly wrong. It isn’t until The Collector releases the last ball of light that Luz is able to reach The In Between Realm, where she is saved by someone we’ve been waiting for all series to meet; King’s father!

Meanwhile, Camilla is returned to normal and tells Amity, Gus, Willow and Hunter to use light glyphs to return everyone to normal. Four years later, an eighteen-year-old Luz is finishing packing up all of her belongings and heading off to college. Camila asks Luz if she is almost ready and what major she picked. Luz remarks that she has picked all the majors at her new school—the "University of Wild Magic." Luz is excited to finally see her friends again, to which Camila remarks that she just saw them the previous week.
Storyline
A growl resonates throughout the In Between Realm, which makes King’s dad lift his shirt, and we see a representation of the fungus coming from his heart. This makes him realize that Belos will soon have control over his entire body. This prompts him to offer his last bit of life to Luz, so she can defeat Belos. At first, she asks him whether he’s sure he wants to give the power to her, but he calls her a good witch and, with a hand full of glyphs, gifts her the last of his power. As King’s dad is talking over her, trying to tell her things to do or things to tell others, Luz is trying to interrupt him to ask him something. Eventually, she gets him to stop and asks her what he wants her to tell King.
He passes by Willow, who is practicing for professional flyer derby. The two fly into the woods to meet with Hunter, who is now a palisman carver working with Dell and the Bat Queen, and is now bonded to a blue jay palisman named Waffle. Willow and Hunter stop briefly to pay respects to a memorial of Flapjack, with Willow conjuring flowers for it. Just then, the Titan reveals a mold-like infection on his chest growing, signifying that Belos has nearly finished assimilating all the Titan's body, to Luz's shock.
The Owl House delivers one final, perfect emotional gut punch
Belos taunts Raine for their failure to stop him, then starts merging with the heart, spreading mold-like terrain across the Boiling Isles. Luz activates the glyph and wakes up inside of a galaxy-like pocket dimension filled with toys. She turns to see King and Eda are also there trapped in their own nightmares by puppet versions of Tarak, Bill, Lilith, Gwen, and Dell. Luz quickly uses the light glyphs again to wake Eda and King up, upon which the trio embrace each other, tearfully reunited, while surprised to see how they've all changed. As they rejoice, the Collector watches from his bedroom, with Belos at his side, still posing as Raine.
Episodes
While the trio are unsure of what to do to stop Belos, the Collector states there is a way. He flies up to Belos and states he understands he needs kindness and forgiveness recalling what Luz said, then hugs Belos' skull, much to the trio's dismay and Belos' confusion. Assuming they reconciled, the Collector calls out to Luz they are friends now, but Belos proceeds to breathe fire upon him while his back is turned. The trio overcome each game and defeat the Collector, who gradually becomes frustrated after each round. After triumphing in every game, Luz notices the Collector nearby, who is visibly upset.

In the episode, Luz, after reuniting with Eda and King, manages to befriend the Collector and stop Belos from destroying the Boiling Isles. At the same time, the puppet Amity finishes etching a crude light glyph on the ground, with its activation breaking the puppet spell on Amity, Gus, Hunter, and Willow. The kids notice other puppet victims, among which include Lilith and Camila, whom Gus attempts to free. However, Amity pauses for a moment, as she realizes Luz is not there with them. After this, we return to Luz, Eda, and King showing The Collector their story. At each of these places, The Collector is proven wrong by the trio about something he believed regarding friendship and people in general.

He leads Raine, Lilith, and Hooty to the heart where the castle used to be. In its place is now the University of Wild Magic, run by Eda as the headmaster with Gus overseeing a human exchange program. Assuming she just broke like a toy, the Collector tries to restore Luz using his magic, but it has no effect. Belos then unleashes a breath of flame down on the Collector, but King leaps in the way and generates a shield to protect the Collector. The Collector asks Eda where Luz went, only for Eda to ask the Collector to stand back as she transforms into an enhanced form of the Owl Beast. Together, the enraged duo launches a combined assault on Belos' avatar.
However, this is a positive, considering that hers is much more complex than Eda’s and King’s, and continues after we see her two friends’ nightmares. The Owl House finale will be available to stream on Disney Plus on April 9. Continuing after the end of the previous episode, the Collector snaps his fingers and summons light tethers to capture the group.
And pick herself up again she does — with a cool new (albeit temporary) makeover. She, Eda, and King kick some ass in some of the most beautifully animated fight sequences in Disney Channel history. The most satisfying part of it all is we know that Luz’s emotional journey is complete. The fate of everything on the Boiling Isles now rests on the shoulders of a human, a cursed witch, and a determined but tiny little King. Two torches then light up, presenting him to the shrine room from Titan Trapper Island where he is among the remains of many deceased Titans.
As for the Collector, he made a promise with Luz to each try their best, and decided to return to the stars to discover more about himself. Although Luz is sad that she can no longer use glyphs to cast magic, it will always hold a special place in her heart, and she welcomes the next chapter in her life. The others then join Hunter as they look coldly at Luz, distraught and heartbroken that her friends have turned against her and blame her for the situation. Amity then warns Luz that the Collector has taken them and is playing games to keep her away from Eda and King.
Then, they all see The Titan’s right eye glow a familiar blue. This is when they realize, Belos has taken control of The Titan. It is revealed that The Collector, and Belos, who, unbeknownst to The Collector, is possessing Raine, are watching this reunion, and The Collector is upset about it, as Belos told him it would work. Belos asks The Collector why they don’t just take them out, to which they respond that they want to be friends with the main trio. Through this conversation, The Collector reveals they can’t hurt King anyway since he’s a Titan, and Titan magic is the only magic that can negate The Collector’s own.
Back in the galaxy dimension, Luz is catching up with Eda and King, introducing Stringbean to the pair and Owlbert, who's been in Eda's hair all this time. It dawns on Luz that the Collector does not grasp the concept of death, but she has little time to process before the Collector whisks them all away to play his games. We paid for the owl experience for our two kids (ages 15 and 21). The kids came out of the room excited and busily talking about everything they learned. Both agreed the employee was incredibly knowledge and had a well-organized and thoughtful presentation. Also, we loved the immersive exhibits and very much enjoyed sharing the birds’ habitat with them.

Also, What Nightmare Amity and Willow say to Luz doesn’t carry as much weight as Gus and Hunter’s conversations with her. The latter two make much more sense, as, in a way, they’re true. What isn’t true is that they would truly blame her for these things.
As they try to escape, Luz loses consciousness and blacks out.
